Dr Mark Dzulko Chief Technical Officer, Bohemia Interactive Simulations Group
Before Dr. Mark Dzulko joined Bohemia Interactive Australia in 2006 he served in the German military for thirteen years, where he received his Doctorate in the field of plasma generation. The main part of his work in the University of Armed Forces Germany was the development of a new plasma generator and plasma diagnostic software. During his time in the German military Mark recognized the potential of computer game-based training systems and developed a stand-alone Mission After-Action Review System (MARS) for Bohemia’s Virtual Battlespace 1 (VBS1) product as well as a HLA/DIS gateway. During this period Mark also developed a terrain generation tool for Operation Flashpoint / VBS1 named WrpTool, which was later employed by the US-based company BBN to create new terrain for the convoy training application DARWARS Ambush! Mark is now the Chief Technical Officer at Bohemia Interactive Simulations and is responsible for the future development of VBS. Mark is focused on improving the realistic and immersive environment provided by VBS and integrating the product with other simulation platforms in order to create the perfect virtual training solution.
Michael Bode, Chief Operations Officer (COO) of BISim
After receiving his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Davidson College, Michael took a position as a technical business consultant for a telecommunications company. Over a period of a few years, Michael taught himself programming and transitioned through a series of software development positions involving greater levels of expertise. Eventually Michael joined Northrop Grumman and began his long standing relationship with military project development. While working for Northrop Grumman, Michael subcontracted to the US Army and the America's Army Project Office, makers of the famed video game. He quickly proved invaluable in all aspects of production and led numerous training and simulation projects. The initiatives he managed were consistently on schedule and to requirements, which was the reason management selected him to relocate to California to rescue the failing America's Army 3 development.
Michael rapidly transformed the development team, getting the project back on schedule and delivering the product. Soon after the America's Army 3 release, Michael joined Bohemia Interactive Simulations to manage the on-going operations of the international company and to assist transitioning their existing infrastructure to new technologies and approaches.
